About

Creating art is a journey of exploration, expression, and connection. For me, painting is more than a visual process—it's a language of emotion, a conversation that bridges the gap between imagination and reality. My creative process thrives on the interplay of spontaneity and precision, as I embrace the freedom to experiment, pause, cover, and reinvent each piece until it feels both authentic and alive.

As a native of San Diego, I was fortunate to grow up in a creative environment that laid the foundation for my passion for art. While my early focus was on building a career and family after attending the University of San Diego, art remained a constant presence in my mindset—a spark waiting to ignite.

My artistic evolution truly began in San Diego, where I had the privilege of participating in a six-month mentorship program that transformed my approach to painting. Under the guidance of Sheila Daube (@sheiladaube) and other inspiring professionals, including @roberta1dyer, I’ve developed a deeper understanding of artistic experimentation and the courage to embrace risks in my work. Another artist who has inspired me is @cattesla. Her work is ethereal and calming. Although we have not met in person, we share a life experience - conquering cancer and balancing life through art. One day, I hope to attend one of her workshops.

Today, I consider myself an evolving artist. Each day, I immerse myself in the studio, pushing boundaries, testing new techniques, and exploring the delicate balance between light and shadow. My art is not only a reflection of my creative journey but also an invitation for viewers to engage with their own emotions and perceptions.

Art has become a profound expression of who I am—a way to celebrate the beauty of imperfection, the power of reinvention, and the joy of continual growth.
